What is facility-based programming?
Divine Royal Care, LLC’s facility-based programming are designed for individuals who benefit from more intensive personal or medical care. This program focuses on enabling the participant to attain his or her maximum functional level or to be supported in such a manner, which allows the person to gain an increased level of self-sufficiency.
This program provides activities that focus on stimulating minds and senses. Individuals are engaged in activities such as arts projects with peers – board games, puzzles; Art Projects – painting, drawing, sculpting; Craft projects – holiday-themed or intro to crafts; Celebration of birthdays and holidays – make decorations and treats, Bingo; Read – newspapers, magazines; Sorting activities – blocks, etc. by size, shape, and color, Karaoke; Music activities – listening and dancing to various kinds of music; Sensory activities – making “slime,” or modeling clay; Sensory activities – blocks, noodles, rice, water, beans; Cooking skills – find simple recipes, follow recipes, and enjoy finished project; Cleaning skills – wipe tables or windows, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming.
DRC SH services may serve to reinforce skills or lessons taught in school, therapy, or other settings and, where appropriate, are coordinated with any physical, occupational, or speech therapies listed in the Service Plan.
